Now a major motion picture***The Jesus Movement transformed the church--and it can transform youGod has always been passionate about turning unlikely people into His most fervent followers. Prostitutes and pagans, tax collectors and tricksters, the pompous and the pious--the more unlikely, the more it seemed to please God to demonstrate His power, might, and mercy through them. America in the 1960s and 1970s was full of many such characters--young men and women who had rejected the conformist religion of their parents' generation, didn't follow conventional rules, and didn't fit in. Their longing for something more set the stage for the greatest spiritual awakening of the twentieth century.Discover the remarkable true story of the Jesus Movement, an extraordinary time of mass revival, renewal, and reconciliation. Setting intriguing personal stories within the context of one of the most tumultuous times in modern history, Greg Laurie and Ellen Vaughn draw important parallels with our own time of spiritual apathy and overt hostility, offering a new vision for the next generation of unlikely believers--and hope for the next great American revival.Because God can always bring a new Jesus Revolution.

I enjoyed reading this book by Greg Laurie on the history of his conversation to Christ as well as the Jesus Movement among the young people in southern California and beyond in the early 1970’s. You’ll learn much about the hippie culture as well as the move of God among them in those days.It also helps you learn about the beginnings of the Calvary Chapel movement that continues to this day. You’ll hear about men such as Chuck Smith, Lonnie Frisbee, and many more that the Lord used for His glory.Overall, this book blessed me and encouraged me to seek Him for another revival among young people today. It also encouraged me that Jesus is still saving sinners for His glory. Jesus Revolution Online PDF Kindle telecharger I wanted to read this book prior to seeing the movie, Jesus Revolution, and am so glad I did. I was expecting this to be the story of Greg Laurie's rise to ministry duringthe Jesus Revolution, but was surprised by the historical content in the book. It is very well written and extremely interesting. Although I grew up during that time period, there was a lot talked about in the book that I didn't know. I found the end of the book's discussion of the possibility foranother Jesus Revolution quite thought provoking. PDF Jesus Revolution free ebook Overall, this book is enlightening and informative. I particularly appreciate the author addressing racism in the US. However, the stories of Azusa Street, the movement of God in Black churches down through the years, the Full Gospel Business Men, etc., are missing. The recent move of God at Deeper Fellowship in Orlando (Pastor William McDowell) merits a mention. I’m sure there are others.I’m a white person that was informally adopted by Black pastors in 1973. I consider myself a product of the Black church. It’s been my observation that white supremacy tends to obscure or minimize the contributions of the Black church and/or Black spiritual leaders. The recent “revival” at Asbury University is a case in point. I have long held the belief that true revival will include racial and economic justice, which cannot come until we are convicted, experience godly sorrow, repent and make restitution and reparation for our wrongdoing. ePUB Jesus Revolution epub online The Jesus Revolution is the true story of the Jesus Movement of the late 60s-early 70s when pastor Chuck Smith met one Lonnie Frisbee a hippie street preacher for Christ and the explosion of faith that poured as many caught in the 60s counter culture including a young Greg Laurie (now a pastor himself) accepted Christ as savior and Lord and what came out of that revival. This book may very well inspire you to come to know Christ if you don't and if you do it may reignite the fire of His love within you. I can't recommend this book highly enough. (PDF) Jesus Revolution This was an eye-opening story about what God can do when people let him into their lives and their churches. It is a story about a time in history when unexpected people began a movement that spread like wildfire across a nation. Whether you are a Christian or not, this book will show you what real Christianity should look like.
